Baled Professional Growing Medium
Located in the Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia, Canada, Annapolis Valley Peat Moss Co. Ltd. was established in 1949 and has a primary production of peat moss and a secondary production of consumer soils.
PG Mix growing mediums are formulated using pure Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss from our location in Prince Edward Island, Canada. PG Mix growing mediums are scientifically formulated using blond Sphagnum moss to provide the best growing medium for professionals. Except for PG Mix #5 all mediums contain a starter fertilizer, trace elements, and a wetting agent. All mixes are pH adjusted. Growers should start their own feeding program 2-3 weeks after transplanting or after the first set of mature leaves have formed. It is the growers responsibility to determine the suitability of the growing medium for their needs. We can custom blend beat mixes large volume orders.

| PG Mix #1 - Medium Peat substrate used for all types of growing and transplanting. A 100% peat substrate using blond Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss has excellent water retention and is suitable for bedding plants.

| PG Mix #2 - is a seed starter mix consisting of pure Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss and horticultural vermiculite for professionals who prefer a lightweight mix. Suitable for small potted plants, 4 pack etc.

| PG Mix #3 - is a growing on mix having higher water retention than the PG Mix #6 but less than PG Mix #1. Suitable for Bedding plants, growing on and general potting.

| PG Mix #4 - is a medium coarse mix providing good drainage as well as excellent water retention. PG Mix #4 is considered a summer mix and is recommended for transplanting and growing on.

| PG Mix #6 - is a coarser mix containing perlite for providing excellent drainage as well as good water retention. PG Mix #6 is considered a winter mix and recommended for transplanting and growing on.

| PG Mix #1-S - This is a medium coarse mix containing styrofoam for better drainage and lighter weight. Ideal for hanging baskets.
